HSI CEO Steps Down
In a message to HSI’s customers and stakeholders, Carol Stigley, Chair of the HSI (Hospitality Standards Institute) Board, announced on behalf of the Board, that Steve Hanrahan, the Chief Executive since October 2003, has decided to step down from his position and will leave HSI early in the New Year.
In announcing his resignation, Ms Stigley said “The Board extends to Steve its warm best wishes for his future endeavours. He will depart with our strong appreciation and thanks for the excellent and sustained contribution he has made to HSI over the past decade, as CE and prior to that as a senior manager. His leadership, passion and understanding of hospitality training needs and challenges has been outstanding, and recognised as such by both industry and stakeholders around New Zealand.” Plans for an appropriate send-off for Steve will be announced in the near future.
The Board has begun the work of appointing new leadership.
