This qualification recognises people who have the competence, knowledge and skills required to work in a food and beverage service role under close supervision in a commercial hospitality environment. The qualification comprises a core compulsory section, and specialist strands.You will complete one or more strands in:
- Counter food service
- Takeaway food service
- Table food service
- Buffet food service
- Beverage service
The qualification will be awarded to people who are able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to work in a food and beverage service role including:
- Preparation for service
- Serving food to customers
- Interacting with customers
- Safe food handling practices
- Compliance with health and safety legislation
