This qualification recognises the competence, knowledge, and skills required for candidates who specialise in catering operations.

Work would typically be undertaken in various catering settings such as hospitals and aged care facilities, sporting and entertainment venues, hotel banqueting departments, cook-chill production kitchens and mobile catering businesses of varying size. Candidates may have some responsibility for others and provide technical advice and support to a team.
