Skilled staff are good for business
As the marketplace becomes more global and customers more demanding, pressure to have a point of difference from your competitors intensifies. Providing quality service consistently is a point of difference that can be achieved by having skilled and trained staff. But it’s getting harder and harder to find those trained staff.Young people want to be skilled and they want to be qualified. Employers who can offer training and qualifications will be attractive to those looking for a reason to stay. And if they stay, your staff turnover will reduce, which will immediately save you money and time in advertising, administration and inducting and training new staff.
So why not train your staff? You’ll be passing on your skills to the future leaders of our industry. Contact a Regional Training Advisor for more information.
What’s the Best Way to Train Them?
You can train and assess them without them having to leave the business. With a traineeship or a Modern Apprenticeship, your employee can receive qualifications while they’re working. We offer a range of different courses and resources (link to 3.0), but if your staff are between 16 and 21 years, then a Modern Apprenticeship is the way to go.
What is a Modern Apprenticeship?
It is a quality training pathway for young people wanting to learn on the job. We provides you and your apprentice with a Coordinator, who:- Helps you recruit and screen an apprentice
- Handles the administration and paperwork associated with training, saving you time, reducing your costs and keeping the training hassle-free
- Works with you and your apprentice to plan and regularly review progress to ensure everything is going smoothly.
- Training lasts two to three years, and your Co-ordinator will be there to support you and your apprentice every step of the way.
