Marae Catering - Candidate Pack
Domain: Cookery Level 2
This qualification provides recognition for kaimahi (food worker) and ringa wera (marae catering) on the marae.
The Level 2 Marae Catering certificate recognises the competence, knowledge, and skills required for cooking routine food dishes in whare kai. Ringa wera will be able to demonstrate a range of basic cookery, preparation and serving techniques in a whare kai, in accordance with the application of tikanga on marae.
Achievement of this qualification will enable ringa wera to pathway to further study, including the National Certificate in Hospitality (Basic Cookery) (Level 3).
