Congratulations to the Major Award Winners at the 2010 New Zealand Culinary Fare

There were plenty of medal winners at the 2010 New Zealand Culinary Fare, held in Auckland 22nd-24th August.

HSI is a major sponsor of this annual event, which has 75 competitions covering both the kitchen and restaurant sides of the hospitality industry. The Culinary Fare provides a platform for participants to match themselves against their counterparts, to compete for prestigious industry awards and prizes. With up to 1000 competitors, the three days of competition, in what is believed to be the world's largest annual hot kitchen competition, are exciting for both competitors and spectators.

This year the HSI Junior Hospitality Challenge Final was included in the huge event, so students from 15 secondary schools around New Zealand could experience the wider world of hospitality competitions. Judges agree that the students acquitted themselves very well and saw some future stars in the making.
