Modern Apprenticeship in Cookery

 


For Riki Whatuira, a Modern Apprenticeship through HSI means he can indulge his passion for food while working towards the career of his dreams. “The apprenticeship is great – it means I can earn money while learning from, and working beside, some of the best chefs in the country,” says Riki.
Riki’s apprenticeship at the famed Mission Estate in Napier is setting him on the path to becoming a fully qualified chef. “Napier is my home. With hospitality as my career choice it means I don’t have to move to a big city to be successful. I love working in a fast-paced environment and my employers are really supportive and always there to help me with my course.”
Riki is looking forward to an exciting and rewarding career in the hospitality industry and plans to run his own top restaurant one day, all possible with the help of HSI training.
